NC30 Oil Cooler

Post by jb1000rr »

Has anyone fitted a UK spec ( 3L or 3M ) oil cooler to a Jap spec bike? I'm particularly interested to know how the pipes connected to the engine block. It looks like the block on the Jap bikes have a blanking plate but without taking them off I can't be sure and obviously don't want to try if it's not possible.

Having fitted them, (if it is possible?) did you think that it was worthwhile or not?

Again, if it is possible then I need to get my hands on some oil cooler pipes and can't find the Part numbers so again anyone that knows those please pass them on.

Thanks jb1000rr

and i have a uk pump so all you need is the lines from the pump to the block, make me an offer and between aly and i you have 90% of the bits.

i run an oil/water cooler on my bike and have noticed it's benefits.
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

I have a UK spec bike and apart from having good rads, it really does make a difference to the cooling overall. It seems that few extra CC of oil does make a difference

Anyone thought of fitting a ZXR400 oil cooler? It's bigger than the Honda one

Did you change the pump?

I fitted this little dancer with a MOCAL sandwich plate - simple.

Banoffee, no I didn't. I'm going to wait until I can find an HRC oil/water cooler and the HRC water pump cover, If they ever become available from somewhere?
