When this happened to me i had it laying on its sides for days and the plus gas didnt budge, needless to say it didnt free it up either so it was cut out.

I might have a spare bolt if you end up cutting it out

Please pm me if you have a spare bolt (and price) that will fit an RVF400 / NC35 as I will need a replacement. The left hand side has taken quite a hammering and I'm not sure I have a big enough die to rejuvenate the thread, assuming I don't end up cutting the bolt. Many thanks.

Arrh; right then.
The bolt is seized in the crankcases as all have summised.
If its on its side (do you have 2 threads going on at once about this ?) then teem penetrating fluid or diesel down the bolt from the threaded end.Keep adding fluid and see if it shifts.Turn it over and repeat from the other side overnight.
WD 40 and oil is FUCKING USELESS for this application; use PROPER PENETRATING FLUID- it creeps along the corroded
areas.
I reckon; source a new bolt now; you will end up cutting it out.
To do as little damage as possible; keep the nut on the threads as much as possible to prevent the threads mushrooming.

It appears that the bolt is seized at the back of the engine as the engine pivots in the frame.

After finding one forum, thread, I found another so posted on both, some members move on so wasn't sure if I'd get a response on either or both threads.

I've run out of both penetrating fluid and WD40 so will buy some more. I've always found PlusGas great in the past, but there wasn't a lot left in the can to start with. I'll some more fluid of whatever I can find tonight.Many thanks.
