Do you know what size it was? I hammered on a 20mm socket, but it just span.

Try a smaller one
I think it was an imperial size, i'll check tomorrow as the adjuster is still stuck in the socket

Re: Engine Removal Problem!
Tried 13/16's spark plug socket earlier, tighter than the 20mm, but it still span on the adjuster! Would it be worth trying to weld something onto it?

Re: Engine Removal Problem!
I can't get the bolt shown in this picture out

The castle nut is off.
The 6mm hex hole has been destroyed using an impact gun in an attempt to remove the bolt with the adjusting bolt

I have tried hammering the bolt from the left hand side, but it will not budge?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Re: Engine Removal Problem!
Just to check, have you tried jacking the engine up a tiny bit to relieve some stress on the bolt?

Yes, I've had a jack under the engine.iDemonix wrote:Just to check, have you tried jacking the engine up a tiny bit to relieve some stress on the bolt?
I've tried knocking the bolt out with the jack / engine raised and lowered but it will not move

The bike is now on its side .....

Re: Engine Removal Problem!
I had one like this, nothing shifted it and ended up cutting the bolt to remove the engine. You then have to remove the remainder of the bolt from the engine.RVF400RR wrote:I can't get the bolt shown in this picture out.
