Re: clutch with tuned motor.
No need to beef up, refresh it, but use honda plates and fit new fibre plates, dont use cheap EBC will be fecked in 4 race starts!!

Re: clutch with tuned motor.
You can also add another clutch spring which helps.

If you add an extra clutch spring you mess up the slipperfunction.

Really? I've never found the slipper to be a problem with an extra spring (I use a bit of mechanical sympathy when banging down gears - but not a whole lot).lange wrote:If you add an extra clutch spring you mess up the slipperfunction.
Good tip then might be to use 3 new clutch springs (they're a diaphragm spring, not coil) , I'm sure that will help clutch function.

I've never noticed any difference changing down with an extra spring in. Very interesting.

Re: clutch with tuned motor.
We tryed 4 springs on a track NC35 and the rear locked up when shifting from 6th to 2nd.
After removing the 4th spring, it all worked as it should.
I'm not shure of which type of friction plates the bike was equiped with: OEM, EBC or EBC racing.
It might work differently on a NC30 as the clutch differs and so does the number of frictionplates

Mine is an nc35 engine which it works fine on, all honda oem clutch parts and extra spring.
