you DO NOT NEED TO DO ANYTHING

Your CDI is fine as it is. the de-limiter is already DOING its job....
the original question was *IF* you swapped the clocks and fitted another set in, IF the de-limiter would still work.
answer: yes, as now we know what that its only a speed de-limiter.

Ah thanks, I jumped the gun as I saw a Race CDI for sale and thought this would solve everything.

So when I take my bike on track; if it does not pull over 112mph etc then there must be a restriction somewhere. I am trying to turn my roadbike into a track bike and want to make sure I have covered everything :)

with that wee red gadget fitted.. it has already removed the 112mph restriction for you..
but by all means test it out SAFELY
