NC35 Emulsion Tubes
Hi all,
I have the carbs for the new track bike in pieces. Can someone please confirm how many pairs of holes the standard NC35 carb emulsion tubes have? I mean the brass tubes that the main jet screws into.
In my spares box I've amassed different tubes with 3,4 & 5 pairs of holes - I'm pretty sure standard is 3, just want to confirm.
Cheers,
Jimmy

Re: NC35 Emulsion Tubes
are you referring to the tube that holds the main jet? just want to be sure we are talking about the same thing. I have mine apart now, so let me know if not. It has 3 pairs of holes - 2 closer together and the third spaced a little further away (relative to the float chamber. Let me know if not what you are talking about.

I checked the parts microfiche - the emulsion tubes for the front and rear pairs of carbs have different part numbers. Can some one please confirm what the differences between them are?
Thanks in advance.

Re: NC35 Emulsion Tubes
I did not even think that. On my vtr1000 they are indeed different front to back - the holes are at different levels. I just grabbed one of the nc35 and reported that to you - but didn't look to see if front to back were different. I still have the carbs off the bike and would just have to take the bowl off and can check later today if nobody has responded before then.

Re: NC35 Emulsion Tubes
here they are. sorry for crappy pics, used cell phone. but they are different. both have 3 sets of holes but different spacing:
front : highest hole much further away from the lower pair (away from main jet)
rear: highest hole closer to lowest pair - almost evenly spaced.

if you need more let me know

Re: NC35 Emulsion Tubes
If anyone else has the NC35 carbs apart, please weigh in on this. The bike is new to me and the first time I had the carbs off the bike. I do not know if a Previous owner had them apart or was careful to get things back in the correct order obviously I have no way of knowing that and I doubt most people would notice front to rear differences unless clued into it.

The rears get warmer due to less air flow so are run slightly richer than the front (hence the hole differences)JB wrote:I checked the parts microfiche - the emulsion tubes for the front and rear pairs of carbs have different part numbers.
