Oil levels? How to gauge accurately RVF400
As the title states apart from dip stick checking how else can oil levels be checked?
The was NO oil on my dip stick last night so i topped it up with a litre and was checking every 200ml by putting the dip stick in to check it.
This morning i get to my bike and there's about 200mls + on the ground and tonight i'm going to clean out what's stuck inside the fairing.
So what's the best method of checking?
Is it best to check your levels hot or cold?
And how much oil do these things hold?
Cheers!

You need to stop it leaking rather than keep topping up.
It holds 2.4l with a filter change I think.

It's only leaking because it's too full. Whoops.

lol...fair enough.
Where from though?
If it is too full you'll get a lot of blowback into the airfilter out of the crankcase breather so be ready to change the filter sooner rather than later

Well that's AWESOME. Bugger.
Um not entirely sure where but it had a full night to really leak out before i rode it.
Since then it's only tiny drips which may even just be from the underbelly of the fairing where there's a whole lot of oil sitting.
Didn't get a chance to clean it out last night (bloody women) but i'll suss it out this evening for sure.
Is there only "bad" spots for overflow to leak out of?
