Awesome, i'm having exactly the same problem!

At the moment i'm trying to work out how to jack the bike up in such a way that the suspension linkages can be removed... :?

how did you do it Q?

An Abba superbike stand. Or take the bodywork and tank off and lay the bike on it's side onto something soft like an old duvet.

I personally took the plastics off and sat the bike on a motocross stand that sits under the engine bringing both wheels off the floor n removed it all like that, watch out for the exhaust though, but can sit it up quite well balanced on the underside of the engine.

All i have to play with is a car jack so i'm liking evils idea with laying it on its side ;)
