That is great work. Always looks cool to see a bike in pieces made into a proper working and clean moto!

Thanks Matchless
I replaced bearings everywhere, wheels painted, the mainframe, rear subframe, swingarm were powdercoated. I decided upon this as the mainframe was found to have a crack in the welding around the headstock and the swingarm chain adjusters were tapped and rethreaded by previous owner and were done wrong and werent useable so another frame and swingarm were purchased and powdercoated. New braided lines up front, Front forks are from an RRR model set up for my weight from G.F with powdercoated bottoms along with the 600 shock which was also purchased from him along with other bits and bobs (also set for my weight.)
New chain and sprockets, new tyres (090), everything that was ok to use was taken apart and cleaned up to a level were i was happy with it and put back together. All the other photos that i have are of little relevance really they just show bits of wiring routing (which is recommended to be done if anyone undertakes something like this as you will forget) or brackets.
A few more pics now i know how to do it

Thanks for all your replies its cheered me up for the day
, never taken on something like this before, some of it was hard work to figure out but it's been more than worth it and i'm keeping it forever as it is an ongoing project and it handles like a flaming dream. So never mind buying race cans as soon as you buy a bike and spend the money on suspension and you will never stop smiling when your out on the road.

Wow, never ceases to amaze me how tidy you poms get these bikes and the effort you put into restoring them.
Top bike mate!
Can I ask, what are those fork tops? Are they from an R model? (Never seen an R model in the flesh).

That is nice indeed
. Same colors as mine, too.
What 600 did the shock come off of? Did it bolt right on?
