doubt it very much as the VFR is a 360 degree crank V 4 and does not fire like an IL4 bike does..

Try it...let us know!

Yes...but it is not that simple is it?

The RVF and VFR have different pickups for startes and they are the same engine. I don't see that the CBR is going to work..but I am happy to learn otherwise if oyu reckon it can be done.

I reckon there is more than the prompt to fire the plugs that somes from the CDI...

It also controls the timing.

So, assuming the vfr cdi works on an nc23, you'll be stuck with the vfr timing which will be different to the nc23's.

This could be better or worse...

It would not surprise me if they were interchangeable, but the advance/retard curves are probably quite different to suit the two different engines. 10 minutes with a couple of wiring diagrams would help.

I would say this:
1. Plug it in and if you can get it to start, then they are interchangeable.
2. If you get it running stick it on a dyno and find out if the advance/retard curve is better/worse/the same.
3. If you blow up the engine it ain't my fault nancy. :Bmods:

Right. You have your homework, now hop to it and report back here by Wednesday. :scare:

i dun know if nc30 cdi will fit nc23.

but, from my experience on the other bikes,

ZZR250 cdi fit ZXR250 although it has different part code. tested and working.

noted that ZZR250 is 2-cylinder inline while ZXR250 is 4-cylinder inline.
