NC35 Spark plugs
do rvf's tend to eat spark plugs? Left mine sitting for a fortnight, possibly with the throttle stuck open and tap on. Tried fresh fuel and it won't bump. Tested the coils with a spare plug and got sparks. Then took out and checked the fitted plugs and found no or v v weak spark on all plugs. Is it usual for them just to go for reasons of flooding or similar? New plugs are expensive so I'd like to avoid it in the future

Re: NC35 Spark plugs
Yep, I killed my first set years ago just by playing with the throttle too much when it wasn't running....a lesson you only need to learn once!

Re: NC35 Spark plugs
ive found out quickly in my short vfr life not to turn the throttle with the engine off. But both times i just took the plugs out and let the combustion chambers dry out over night. same plugs back in after a clean up and dry off and away she goes

Re: NC35 Spark plugs
I'll try that next time. I ran the bike with the fuel off till all the petrol in the carbs was gone to try prevent it happening again
