nc23 engine - shiny rh casing?
I have just fitted a replacement engine into my nc23
it is ace but has a shiny right hand engine casing? I cant find a picture of an engine with one and was wandering if anyone know where this was from? was it with a certain year or an upgrade/downgrade by the previous engine owner?
cheers

oh right didnt think of that. the grooves where honda is written also look less pronounced etc which is what made me think it may be from a different year/model etc

yeah probably just had the paint stripped and buffed up.
if the ridges on the casing are lower it might have had a bit of a grind back, due to damage from a low speed slide or just to make it look better

grim, i may have an engine from an aero. thats quite depressing as they are so ugly, but it works which is more important.

you will know if you have an aero motor in a tri arm...modified airbox to fit a tri-arm frame and an external oil cooler just for starters
the covers are interchangable
raced with an aero motor in my first triarm...went hard...that is after ALOT of mucking about just to get it to go
