There is nothing wrong with the standard 29 brakes that a strip down and rebuild won't cure I run standard ones on my trackbike with EBC discs, carbone Lorrain sintered race pads and goodrich lines and a standard master cylinder and they provide great feel and will easily lift the back wheel when braking hard. Unless it's bling you are after any caliper adaptors just add weight and unsprung mass a waste of time IMO.

As for forks the later model 29 forks are fully adjustable, mine have been rebuilt by maxton with new springs and valves and are fantastic.

Harrison Billet-6(hornet600) with Honda discs (I wanted 4's but 6's came up at a bargain)
Hell Lines
SV 650 k3> ohlins springs (10mm shorter than 29's)
( All above supplied by HEL )
Valves reduced too 4.5mm
10wt oil (standard air gap)
Full preload
Maxton +10mm rear

I shit you not this setup works for 90hp at the wheel.
