Cost of Carburettor gasket set £76!!

Post by fumb »

Blimey, just pricing up the gasket set for the carbs. One set is £19 so for four its £76. Thats pretty steep when you only need 3 o-rings per carb when stripping to clean them.

Anyone else found a cheaper supplier or bought the o-rings elsewhere?

I've just seen Rick Oliver does the NC30 carb float chamber gaskets for £5/set of 4.

Thats cool but i would still need the drain screw o-rings. More digging required i think.

If you think that is steep wait until you need new slides!

Oh dear i don't like the sounds of that. I take it slides are silly expensive too?

As for the carb drain screw o-ring, where has everyone else sourced theirs? Surely not everyone has forked out for the full kit when they stripped their carbs.
