Re: NSR magtek front wheel on NC30
my Rothmans 28 SP has the bolts all the way through. and i know they aint ever been removed let alone stripped.
the Magteks seem to have an alloy sandwich plate to resist crushing i suspect and add some structure to the softer metal.

My Mags - which came off an MC28 SP - have also long bolts through; I believe the wheels are still in the original red paint from factory.
@CRM where is this "alloy sandwich plate" at, between the wheel and the brake discs? I bought mine without brake discs, so maybe they're missing?

I think he's talking about a plate that was machined into the wheel when manufactured, kind of like what you would see on a carbon wheel.

Ok, so these alloy plates are buit in to the wheels and not removeable at all? I imagine they're like a tube which was pressed in to the wheel, where the long stud bolts then go through?
Mine are definitely Magtek, so the the plates/tubes must be on them, they're just not visible to me anyway.
Cheers.
