Unfortunately I didn't avoid the rain...tour of Essex B roads featuring knee-deep flooding in some areas. Still had some funVtypeV4 wrote:Hope you get it sorted, Pete.
Thrashed mine up through Beech / A519, down to the Darlaston / A51 then back up and over to the A53 before heading home and narrowly avoiding the rain.

Re: What did you do with your NC30/35 today?
Well I am up and running again. Ran all the test on the charging system, all seemed fine apart from low charging voltage at the battery 12.5v @5k. Alternator is gsxr and tests showed ok, battery is good, swapped the Reg/rec and straight up to 14.6v @5k. So a bit of a strange one but all seems to be working!
Still the breakdown got me out of going to the in-laws so not all bad!

Cleaned one plug (air blasted) after i started the nc35 standing still since last year trip to the Alps, and filled up the tank with fresh fuel just across border (few miles away from Belgium) where the fuel price is silly low) and had nice ride in the area.

For a start, I just bought one. NC35 race bike. Has pressurised airbox among other things.
Needs some serious tlc after being neglected for several years. She'll get a strip down and rebuild with new mains and rings at the very least. Anything else as needed.

Was quite a well known bike here. And is my return to 400s and this forum after a 4 or 5 year absence.

Did some carb work today in my workshop. Ultrasonic cleaned all three sets fully, fitted one set on the project bike and within few seconds she came alive in just couple of seconds, and that after three years under the cloth...naked no panels nothing.

Another track day. She is starting to really puff smoke on the decel. One more race weekend and it will be time to take a serious look at the top end.

I sent techspec a template to cut me some grips. I'm sure they still have it. Tell them I sent you. :)marcus57 wrote:Are they nc specific stomp grips or did you cut them yourself?vfrman wrote:Another track day. She is starting to really puff smoke on the decel.
