Front wheel options

Post by skinnydog0_0 »

I have searched for a Thread on the various options open for different front wheels to fit an nc30/35?
I can't seem to find it?
Can so done point me n the right direction or let me know what wheels will bolt straight in.
Also would anyone happen to know or a cheap alternative to 310mm discs as the rc30 ones are bucks!
I believe that perhaps one of the big Hondas like cb1300 or the like have the right size discs?

Cheers

Alternative front wheels are - (6-spoke) VFR750 94 - 97, CBR600F similar years, CBR400RR GullArm (NC29) or (3-spoke) early VTR1000F Firestorm or CBR400RR TriArm.

The discs for the late `90s CB1000F are the only other correct fitment and they are a more `normal` price than RC30 ones - I can supply new EBCs if you want...

Stealth could fit any rotors to the proper fitted centres.

You want some dymags mate....

I`ve still got a set of 310mm stealth wavies on the front of my NC30 which I fitted 10 years or more ago -

- they were pretty cheap and have performed very well.

A few years after I bought these Stealth went over more to producing custom/cruiser discs and as far as I can see they are now no longer in business.

Thanks for the advice guys!
@ Rick O- I'll see how I get on with my new rim and standard discs but would b very interested in how much a set of discs would be?
I'll drop you an email tomorrow when I'm at my PC.

@ Mark- hahaha I would love a couple of sets of dymags, but I run the 750 rim and don't think I could afford to lay out the cash for 2 rears and a hub. I may also look at trying the 675 rim in there. I measured a standard 675 front a couple of days ago and it looks like it will fit but the discs would need spacing out from the rim by 2mm each side and the standard spacers shortened by 2mm. But I don't want to buy a rim and discs so am going to try and borrow one over the off season. If it works I'll have that 675 rim for dry and a nc30 rim with the larger discs for the wets.
An NC is for life, not just for Christmas!
