You dont need to remove anything to get the carbs out to clean them.
Just take the airbox off, leave the metal plate on the carbs and undo the clamps.
Thesy should look like this,
if you try and get themoff without the plate you risk distorting them , plus its a right pain in the arse trying to get them back toegheter
