So ...freshly serviced carbs, inline fuel filter removed, airbox etc back to OEM and a fresh set of plugs - sweet, your bike will thank you for it and I am sure you will see the difference

Yes got new leads coming too. Going to spend a few hours starting valve clearances today. Got the missus taking her camera to the track so hopefully get some pics of me wobbling around lol. I used to be a quick rider but the years have sailed by and I've not ridden nearly enough. Will be nice to get the juices flowing again on 2 wheels!!

Well did the valve clearance. All within tolerance although one was right on the limit but it will do. Can't believe how straight forward they are to check. Mind you I'm glad I didn't have to play with any shims as I'd probably end up dropping one. I used to pay garages hundreds to do the valve clearance services.

Good to hear that you're getting your hands dirty.

None of the work on these bikes is too difficult if you have the manual (and forum!) handy, it just takes a bit of time the first time around.

Yes Cammo. Really enjoying working on it. Your guide came in handy when I stripped the carbs too. Thanks.
I do all the work on my cars but always steered clear working on my NC30'S as everyone says they are a nightmare to service and best left to a professional. Well I disagree, as so far it has been great working on this bike apart from the butchered carb screws. (New set on order). Hopefully It will run a bit better when I get it back together.

I paid RO Weds for some other bits but he hasn't replied to say they're on their way. Hopefully he has posted the stuff as I can't wait to get all back together.

I am sure you won't have to worry Mitch.

Rick is a busy guy but is a top Bannana and is always very prompt with his stuff...and as you will see the quality is always tip top.

Digging into your bike the first time is a little daunting, but the absence of a milion computers or other electronics means that with a haynes, a half decent tool box and some patience, very little is actually beyond the capabilities of most of us
