nc35 wont start

Post by nicknc35#186 »

Hi, :P
My nc35 has been off the road for over a year and i have finally got my ass in gear and am in the process of sorting it out. The only trouble is she wont start!!! I have a fully charged battery and have checked all the spark plugs (all sparking fine) I have also cleaned the carbs but she still wont fire up! I get a little rumble but not enough to get her going. The fuel seems to be flowing fine so not sure what else to do. I cant even bump start her! Can anyone help me?
cheers :peace:

Vac hose on the fuel tap? Might possibly be that the carbs need a bit more cleaning?

You could have flodded the bike trying to start it first time and killed the plugs.
Take them out and dry them on a gas hob or with a blow torch then try again. full choke no throttle.

Ditto, clean plugs. If you want go give a little encouragement, lighter fuel down plug hole, works as well!

Cheers for everyone's help but still won't start! I've completely striped the carbs put new plugs in new battery and new fuel but she still won't have none of it! Really don't know what to try next? Any other ideas? Tried full choke no throttle but nothing really happening sometimes I get a little rumble but not enough to get her going!

Are the float heights correct?
Can you try jumping it from a car - to save your battery getting killed?
Also check that your kill switch is not stuck on or shorting. Is the side stand switch ok?
