Re: Tis getting silly now
The old adage apples - something is worth what somebody else will pay for it.
Mind you ...looking at the way prices are going I have a PAIR of freshly coated Dymags and a spare 17" Delkevic and could be talked into early retirement if anybody would like to offer me a small private Caribbean Island or such like in exchange

P.S. only joking...NOT for sale

Re: Tis getting silly now
Good job I have 5 Dymag rears then
I love how everyone likes to call the price items sell for when its not they stuff, but when selling them selves its a different matter, hence why I no longer sell anything on here, could be classed as conflict of interest with being a mod as well.
Dymag will give you a price on wheels, but try and order any and see how far you get, I did not get further than the email informing me i would have to order 5 sets, and pay in full up front. Have been around RVF's for long enough now to know what the market value is of most parts
With 3 Rvf's in the garage, 2 running Dymags and one currently on Marchesini's and soon to be on Oz wheels have sent enough on wheels to know all to well what they cost.
Like say, I do have 5 rears, all five spoke, funny had 6 till last week when I sold one, fancy that eh....................
But anyway thanks for the advice on pricing

Re: Tis getting silly now
ill post the pic of the carbon rear when it turns up then, they were pretty good when i bought my carbon front + the fact the when i picked it up they had just de-moulded 2 carbon nc wheels for a customer,
I also have been around the vfr's + rvf's for a fair while + are something that i do have an very very high knowledge level
I didnt say you were wrong pricing the wheel just thats its a crazy price but if you can find someone daft enough to pay it then fair play but im guessing that £1100 is such a fair price that there was a need to drop £150 but hey its your wheel
I would like to say though aly ive nothing against you at all just that the wheel was a very high price
take care

Re: Tis getting silly now
Price drop was because the £1100 one sold, simple as that, have to that are from my road bike, used for display only, one that had done 0 miles, now sold, and one that has less than 200 miles on it at the most, that one that is for sale now.
As above how you justify calling it crazy prices, sorry but that is we're the market level is right now, I have a tdr250 that have just sold as market level is such that would be mad to hold onto it when not using it, on other foot I am after parts for my sp1 and need a mortgage for anything trick or mint for one of them right now as well. We choose to like the NCAA range of bike and right now they are very sort after, in either parts or complete bikes,a basket case rvf is £1500 right now, could buy a mint one for that 3 years ago.
Think I am going to leave this thread now anyway, will leave it to the experts.
Nothing personal to anyone who has commented, and wholeheartedly appologise for my wildly inaccurate pricing of the things I have sold.
Yup, your right, it's getting silly now.
