yeah didn't explain that very well did i

what i meant was the reg-rec must have been dead for some time to have cooked the battery like it did rather than just stopping working it went into overtime but with no symptoms

It was probably the regulator side of things so it didn't take the top spikes off the charge.
But yeah I can see what you mean. I'm a bit worried that the generator might be damaged enough to fuck things up but not enough to register in a test. Ive go a spare genny somewhere though.

you can voltage test the genny (as per the flow chart in willandrips earlier post from fzronline) should be between 40/60V and also double check by testing the resistance of the stator coils, post says 31/37 ohms manual says 31/41 ohms i'd of thought anywhere in there should be good to go
happy testing it's one of my favourite jobs :o
