nc30 cutting out

Post by philst88 »

hello

was out not that long ago for a gd run on the bike and was sitting at traffic lights holding the clutch in and the bike just cut out. After a few minutes i tried starting it again and it started no problem. So just kept the revs up and drove home and had no problems. Then when i stopped at the house the bike was idling and cut out again. The next day i started it up again and once i turned the choke off it cut out again

any ideas what the problem could be?

Is the fuel tap vacuum hose ok? If leaky fuel flow at low engine speed (idle) may be insufficient as diaphram is not retracted fully.

Carb balancing fixed it for me.

The idle rpm is around 1200 but the needle is constantly going up and down to about 1400 and then down to 1000. when it drops its close to cutting out then eventually just cuts out.

Sounds like you need to balance the carbs then.
