GK76A Gaskets

Post by Gash »

Hello,

Does anyone here ever use aftermarket gaskets for their rebuilds? If so, what are they like, good or bad, or not worth the risk? Have had a look at the Suzuki valve seals and they are £5.97 each, that is nearly one-hundred quid for sixteen valve seals; bloody ridiculous! Is this what everyone pays for them or is there a cheaper alternative anywhere?

Cheers.

I always use the OE seals as the cheaper ones have a tendency to leak.
Its your call mate.

Cheers for the quick reply and I knew you were going to say that, as I knew it myself deep down. But bloody hell, Suzuki know it as well. I priced these valve seals up about four months back and they were £4.50 each, now they are £5.97. What has happened in that time for them to go up nearly £1.50 each?

Some of the gsxr 750's use 4mm seals, also zx6 and cbr6.
If you can find the sizes for these you may find a cheaper seal.

You find the seals are used across different makes/models as they standard sizes, say 4x7.5x10mm etc.
