NC30 Hub Nut

Post by StrayAlien » Thu Oct 18, 2012 3:24 pm

Hi all,

The rear rear hub nut on an NC30 i just got is 41mm. I even went and bought a socket to help get the damn thing off - perfect fit.

yet, the manual (akhara,.com) says it is part # 90306-MR8-000 - which is 38mm.

The haynes manual says the are not reusable so I'd be looking to get either an EOM part of a reusable replacement.

So ... what is it then? Is the part number wrong or do I have a supersized hub nut on there?

All help appreciated.

Greg.

The parts lists I have state 38mm for the NC30 and NC35. In fact, the NC35 part supercedes the NC30 one. Doesn't seem to be a difference between the various different lettered NC30 models, so it sounds like yours is bigger than standard. Quite an expensive nut at over a tenner plus VAT!

The hubnut is 46mm and the wheelnut is 36mm, they might be giving you the inside diameter on the microfhice parts.

you can buy stainless ones off ebay but there twice the honda price

no idea why a 42 socket fits?

Also kayla does titanium hub nuts that are drilled to accept lock wire, split pin, r pin, so effectively reusable.
