URGENT HELP "Cant Find Neutral"
Hi there chaps
I recently purchased a RVF400 NC35 1997 and i have a problem with finding neutral
If the engin is NOT running its perfect slips in like a hot knife through butter,
but as soon as the engin is ON idling it jumpes straight into 2de doesnt matter how gentle or hard ou try
Please help me solve this problem ASAP as his is really irritating
Thank you
MAV

It is user error still mate..
Are your dots lined up on the gear lever? Are you sure the cable is not too right? Does it go in when rolling forwards?

Re: URGENT HELP "Cant Find Neutral"
with slight upwards pressure from first, if raising the rpm to say 3000rpm and letting it drop doesn't let it slot in then as above,
check clutch cable is adjusted properly as well as gear-lever rod.
If your clutch is badly worn / adjusted it will make it difficult, as well as the gear lever

the cluch lever takes all the way on the end (fingertips) doesnt matter how you ajuct it .........could this just be that the cable is wrong or streched

Have you tried backing off the lock nuts at the other end of the cable?

Re: URGENT HELP "Cant Find Neutral"
hi, this probably isn't much help to you but i had the same problem when i first bought my NC35, in the end i replaced the clutch plates and had to smooth the clutch basket fingers as they had small wrinkles/wripples. since i had done this i can always select neutral easily
