What did you have the mulitmeter set to when you were meausing the stator coils, it should be AC voltage not DC voltage,
if you had it at DC this would explain the duff readings.

Magg - i never said i got 40v? Where did i say that?
And no i havent repaired any wiring etc as the wiring has continuity so it indicates a connection, and i had the digital multimeter set to 200v AC when i measure the stator connections at 5500rpm

My confusion, you mentioned 50 volts earlier which I took to mean you had made a measurement.
However you also said earlier that you measured 75 ohms for two of the yellow wires and now all the reading are around one ohm, something has changed, are you measuring at the same location. Do you still get a resistance reading to chassis from any of the yellow wires.

Getting a bit confused here.
If the AC volts says 15v per 3 channels - then if you have done it right, the genny is toast.
However, the chances of them all readin 15v are slim - what normally happens is a single phase burns out and you get 40/40/nowt.
I've a lovely picture of a burned out genny....

Re: 2nd day more help needed please
The 75 ohms was taken at the reg/rec wiring
Two were 75ish ohm and one was 1.0ohm
Then down at the stator connection they all read between 1.0 - 1.4
And they all read around 15v some where slightly over some just under

Earlier in your post you said there was 75 ohms between a yellow wire and chassis. Do you still get this resistance reading at the stator connector.

How many coils would i need cause someones offere me a stator and reg/rec cheap
Is it just one winding ?

Re: 2nd day more help needed please
Theres only one stator which contains 3 windings/coils which produce 3phase 50v AC between phases.nazzurro_19 wrote:I didnt check that
