Re: nc30 suspension linkages
The 35 linkage will make it sit a little higher but not a lot. I thought the R6 shock was longer than the NC shock, did you measure the length of it before you put it in?

It is by about an inch. Shorter dog bones are needed to raise the rear end.
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

So the R6 shock is longer? then why is his bike now sitting lower?thunderace wrote:Drunkn Munky wrote:I thought the R6 shock was longer than the NC shock

Re: nc30 suspension linkages
Is the spring preload set too soft.
The 35 link raises back end by around 15mm from memory

Re: nc30 suspension linkages
The spring will most likely be too soft for the NC for starters

Yep, that can be the only reason why it's sitting lower if you didn't change anything else.Drunkn Munky wrote:The spring will most likely be too soft for the NC for starters

Re: nc30 suspension linkages
is the r6 lighter than the nc30 ? i will try a 35 linkage and wind the preload up a bit to see if that improves things if not a new spring and get some nice adjustable dogbones made upCammo wrote:Yep, that can be the only reason why it's sitting lower if you didn't change anything else.Drunkn Munky wrote:The spring will most likely be too soft for the NC for starters
