Re: 17 inch NC30 REAR CONVERSION how to ?????
A quick question on this, I see somebody also mentioned the VFR 750 mod instead of the RVF 400 one but was wondering which is best??
Obviously the VFR 750 is a lot more trouble to get done but was wondering is it better than the RVF version??
Plus is this mod all about having a better choice for tyres or does it make any real differance in the performance??
I have a 1998 Blade (the last with the 16 inch front wheel) and done the 17 inch conversion on the front and that was just down to tyre choice as it doesn't have any real differance on handling...

Just a question on this topic, as I'm running a 17" wheel on my NC30. I have a Penske shock, with adjustable ride height. If I understand correctly, using the shock to raise the ride height will preserve a more linear suspension action if I keep the NC30 link plates, to me this sounds preferable. If I go that route, and it's too squishy... I can do the dog-bone mod and shorten by 8mm, correct?

Increasing the shock length won't change the spring rate, so yes this would be preferable if the current spring is suitable.ScottieDucati wrote:I have a Penske shock, with adjustable ride height.
