Just ride Alan!
The delkevic 17 will bolt straight up.
If you're replacing an 18" though you'll lose some ride height, not what you want.
Best to adjust it back up by either modifying the lower shock link, or getting a shock with adjustable ride height (or longer than std).

Buy and RVF rear wheel, and then buy the RVF dog bones to put it to the standard geometry, and just bolt together.
If you cant source the 'bone you could buy a HRC jack up plate/ride height adjuster, there on ebay at £10 buy it now from a guy who makes them. Or buy both for even quicker handling.
If you want the VFR750 160/17" wheel. You need to send you hub off to Rick Oliver, buy a 750 wheel and bolt on the re-engineered hub and new wheel he should also supply at cost a doofer that will off set your front sprocket to bring the chain into alignment as the 750 wheel is wider. You will need the doofer. Then do the geometry alterations as above.
Personally I would do the RVF wheel, then dog bones plus the HRC ride height plate, however this will turn in quicker, whicH I want. I suspect after the hub and sprocket mods of the work by Rick, both will cost moer or less the same money, so its up to you to choose the option you prefer the look of. I said RVF as it keeps it stock looking. Your shout.

You cannot do th RC ride height plate on an NC30 though man.
I have an RVF dogbone on my NC30 with std 18 inch.. not ridden it to try it since I fitted it but it just bolts on. I also have a longer RS250 shock so rear ride height is buzzin...
New Delkevic 17 inch wheel for £150 is a bargain..IMO

Could you get me a picture of that set-up, side view, to show how high the rear is?
I've got an extended shock and wondered if it would work with the '35 link.
I don't know whether the spring will touch the swingarm when it unloads, but the swingarm already contacts the Yamamoto half system when braking.
Regards,
Dave.

The link mod is very simple.
You need to drill a hole 10mm apart (centre to centre) from the existing hole in the radius arm. This will raise the rear approximately 35mm (1:3.5 ratio).
Here's a pic of one that has been drilled (original hole being used). The centre-centre distance of this one is too far to use (approx. 13-14mm), some numpty screwed it up.
Doing this firms the shock up a little bit as you're changing the linkage ratios.

Interesting! Any benefit of doing this with the standard 18'' wheel?
