I bought one but i havnt fitted it yet , i offered it up yo the tank and the fit seems very good.

I received mine about a week after placing the order (they're made to order).

Fit seems good when offered up as Marcus said and they appear well made. But I am yet to fit it so unsure on if I like it.

Cheers lads for your thoughts/comments on these carbon tank pads? im still unsure myself if i like the style, looks very square accross the top in the pictures.. although im sure once fitted this will serve its purposes better than the others i have tryed.. still cant belive my luck with tank pads so far. i swear nothing for me is ever straight forward. lol.

If you want, I will post you the pad for you to see it in person, then you can return it to me. You'll need to paypal me a few quid though to cover costs of padded envelope/postage, and I'll need it returned sharpish as I plan on finishing my bike soon.

You mentioned foam pads. Have a look at the hornet tank pad. Or honda do a generic tank pad that's the same foam wrap-around type but a bit nicer to look at. Very hard to find though. I'll look through my ebay watch list and see if I can find one.

I quite like those wraparound foam pads. Seen them on a few RC's
