I always do this.

You need to 'Shock' the nut loose, not apply constant torque (unless you have the rear brake on.. in gear (i'd prefer 1st) AND a massive long extension..

Put it in gear / brake on.

Use either an extension handle and socket or a big spanner..

Make sure it is all a good fit else you'll strip the nut... with it secure (2 people job if you can't hold it all secure)

Give the hammer and extension bar etc a good few sharp blows with a hammer.. should shock it loose... as Rick said.. watch your hands!

Once the nut is out (14mm iirc) You'll need an M20 x 1.5 bolt to screw into the newly revealed hole to pop the flywheel off.. don't bother with a puller as they usually mark the flywheel and the bolt is all that is needed.

just thought i would let every one know got the bugger off yesterday ended up using a impact driver from a mate couple of hits and the bolt was loose thank funk :grin: , once again cheers everyone for info and ideas
