do you need to split carbs to measure float height

i dont beleive you do, there is a thread on here with a ready made tool using a credit card to set the heights.. i'll have a quick search through and see if i can find it for you

So in answer to your question, yes you need to open the carbs. The floats and float valve are inside the float bowl cover, which requires removing in order to set.

sorry what i meant was do you have to pull the carbs apart
from each other or can you do them as a bank of four
to check

i just adjust the height for the vfr 6.8 on the card
