Re: RVF 600RR Fork Swap?
So if I buy ricks rvf fork fitting kit, 600RR forks and yokes wheel discs etc I can have 600RR forks fitted to my nc30
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

oh my bad, that's awesome. thanks for that bit of info Cajun
now I wouldn't be pushing it if I asked whether you know what the free lengths are of the 35 and the 600rr forks by any chance would I?

Only if it includes brearing races and triples big enough to hold 50mm... Sure.royster81 wrote:So if I buy ricks rvf fork fitting kit, 600RR forks and yokes wheel discs etc I can have 600RR forks fitted to my nc30

No you wouldn't be pushing it but I no longer have the 600RR forks. I had to ditch them because of a racing class I'm in. However if I recall, the 600RR and the 29's forks were the exact sam length. So I could measure those for you.ludacris wrote:oh my bad, that's awesome. thanks for that bit of info Cajun

Re: RVF 600RR Fork Swap?
cajun wrote:Yes. You can buy the 07 and up triples and they will plug straight into the 35..... Mike at G-Force did that because he was mounting them to a NC30 not 35. The headstock is different. The NC29 (mine) and the 35 (I have one too) and the 07 and up CBR600RR and I believe 05-06 CBR600RR triples all mount straight on. Just mark your forks prior to so you keep the height the same.
NO. It's NOT a straight swap. You need to have a new stem fabricated, and a few spacers as well to fit the 600rr triples onto the NC35 headstock.
And may I suggest for people NOT to give answers if they're just guessing?

Re: RVF 600RR Fork Swap?
Then I stand corrected. What are the dimensions of the stems?
Edit..........My error.......
Here is what is needed to be done as the 600RR forks are a straight bhttp://www.400greybike.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... ks+stemolt on.

Re: RVF 600RR Fork Swap?
all good mate. we all make mistakes.
can anyone chime in with the overall RVF fork length from centre of axle mount hole to top of fork cap (free standing of course)? unfortunately i can't measure my own bike atm but surely someone has done it..??
i have a feeling its somewhere between 745-755mm but really need something more definitive

Re: RVF 600RR Fork Swap?
I`ve been working with Jon (who is local to me) on his 600RR forks/yokes onto NC30 frame conversion - the headstock does need to be longer than for the NC35 conversion and sometime early in the new year I will be listing a specific headstock adaptor for those forks...
