I thin the build you were looking for was Rob - Harkermatic? Have a google on that..not that one?
Otherwise, rebuilding an OEM Showa is a case of fitting a valve to pressurise the system.
Cammo has a rebuilt OEM shock, not by his hands..but might be worth a few pics if he is able?

Here in Greece we have only 2 shops for a shock rebuild.I have already try one for another bike and after 2 months the seal was leaking.I know the gas pressure is about 150 psi and the oil should be 2,5w or 5w.After all it's another pleasure to do it yourself

pns it can be done at home but you will need to add the valve to the canister for re-gassing and find a supply of nitrogen and gauges. The actual process is not too complicated but unless you intend to disassemble and reassemble the shock on a repetitive basis, the cost of the nitrogen setup makes it a bit uneconomical. You might be able to find a suspension shop that is willing to re-gas it for you but I would make sure I had either my own re-gas system or another source before I started.

You can start with either weight oil and if you do not like the result change it. Just make sure it is specified as shock oil or has a high VI to keep the performance stable. Best bet for a seal would be UK or USA shock shops, many will supply parts if you can provide the dimensions.

I rebuilt the Bilstein inserts in my rally car. it was one of those jobs which people said couldn't be done. I used a refillable valve, a motorcycle derived one, which was inserted into the top of the insert

I used 5w oil, for quantity so long as yours isn't leaking then just measure what you take out! Gas pressure needs to be around 150psi. Really you need to use as little as possible. Use too much and you create too much stiction, as a result of pressure on the seals. Too little and you won't hold off the balance piston and the oil will aerate.
I used a gas needle refill kit. It's bascially a hyperdermic needle, which you use to fill the gas with through the valve. Once you pull the needle out the valve seals, they'll hold something like 100bar.
I used argon instead of nitorgen but any suspension specialist will refill it for a small fee.
If you want it rebuilt, then www.revsracing.co.uk will do it. I've used John for years, he's good and will rebuild your unit. He did a GSXR1100 for me a few years back and charged me £100 and that included making a new pistons shaft as mine had pitted and was causing the seal to be damaged
If you need pictures of the seal let me know, also I can show you the needle kit if required

Practical Sportsbike magazine; I'm not sure which issue it was, but I think there is an article on "How to rebuild a shock" with step by step photos.
