Plumes of "smoke" in the morning
My RVF smokes like a trooper in the morning. It does not seem to be smoke like burning oil / worn rings. Just vapour, but I have never seen an engine smoke this much.

Is this quite normal?

Should smoke or Vapor in the morning but once warm should clear up.
Unless...... The headgasket is bad then you will have white smoke. OR If you are running water and it froze and the plugs popped out.
Both would signal water in the oil.

If it doesn't smell like oil and stops when the bikes warm then it's likely to be just condensation. It is getting cold now too so even more likely.

Looks just like condensation to me, is the bike kept outside or somewhere cold/damp, that'll make it a lot worse.
I take it that it stops when it's warm.

Ye, I is out side for the night, but under covers. When the motor is running temp it all clears up. Glad I wont be rebuilding the engine thenNeosophist wrote:Looks just like condensation to me, is the bike kept outside or somewhere cold/damp, that'll make it a lot worse.

You should see how much smoke my bandit produces since it's left outside with no cover! Nothing to worry about.

i have the same issue, its just the condensation in the pipes. When it first started as the weather got colder i was worried the piston rings were going to need replacing.
