Post by spongy.bob »

Appart from swearing a lot, what should I do??????????????

How much fuel is in the cylinder?

Remove that plug [number 3] and turn the engine over by hand, then spin the starter with kill switch off, just a quick dab at a time to expell the fuel into the exhaust port and out of the plug hole.

Then spin the engine a few times.
Clean the plug, refit and turn engine by hand, before starting.

Check oil level for any increase level and smell of fuel, if in doubt change the oil when you get engine running.

That is a new one on me Bob!

Like Dave says..get the fuel spat out and ensure you've not got a load in the sump

I know, it took real effort to be that stupid!!!

not only that, but I rounded off the socket fitting on the inspection cover!!?? Mr Oliver has a new one in the post for me though, and I'll be changing the oil anyway.

provided there isnt LOADS of fuel, turn the engine over by hand, it should push it out into the exhaust, then remove the plugs to let the remaining petrol evapourate off the plug/s and cylinder/s
