something came loos
Morning To all
Sorry for the bad English I can not type in full when I type from my cell phone that is why I short type
But let’s try it again. I set the Valve Clearance with the help of vipper’s blog Took the bike out for a ride the performance was great far better then before as I came to a stand still it sounded like something came loos in cylinder 1 & now I am to scared to start the bike again don’t want my motor to jam up. I now have a shutter noise in Cylinder 1 and 3 It sounds like a tapping sound. Mechanically I am not bad but I don’t now much about bikes I took my bike to several garages and every time they say it is right it still doesn’t have any power. So I decided I will look at it myself so after I decided to check for valve clearance as that was my last option. I did change the valve clearance and for the first time since I owe this bike it idled on its own. There was definitely more performance and a big difference in the bike except for the tapping noise. I don’t now what to be looking for as I said I am not that good with bikes but I am learning as I go Thank you all for the replies

Re: somthing came loos
Take the cam cover off and have a look.
If the engine ran for a while, unlikely a shim came out, unless your mechanical ability is no better than your command of English, and it was not located correctly [tilted] or not there in the first place, in which case the measured clearance would have been way out.

Re: somthing came loos
Typing aside.
A shutter noise... interesting.
Could be the shim came loose and now the rocker is smacking the valve (your valve might drop out if this is case)
Did the bike run any worse when this happened?
It could be a fault with valve cleanence with being too loose or too tight. Did you change the shims in this cylinder?
Take the rockerbox off and have a good look, make sure everything is there and there is no signs of wear on anything and measure the clearances.
Did you do them properly? Rotate the cam into the correct position etc?
