Brass adjusters on top of later forks, how many clicks??

Post by graham72 » Sun Jul 24, 2011 2:54 pm

As title really, how many clicks should the brass rebound adjusters on the top of later forks have?

I'm just about to replace my damper rods with another pair that arent seized and one has 8 clicks and the other has nine.

can they be adjusted, if so how?

Loosen the damper rod lock nut and turn the damper rod within the adjuster housing [up or down] to calibrate.

15 clicks max is correct.

The large [M37] fork top bolt screws onto the adjuster housing, it is the part with brass screw in the top of it.
The lock nut is at the top of the rod, beneath the adjuster housing to lock them together.
