VFR vs RVF linkages
Hmmm, seems the RVF chassis that's going to be our track bike has what appears to be a VFR linkage, or at least the triangle linkage bit.
When I dismantled it I thought that the solidness of the smallest of the three pivot points was because it had seized and ordered the bearings/seals I needed accordingly. Come taking it out though I realised its a bush and looking at the microfiches shows that the VFR has a bush instead of a bearing there.
So onto the question, is there actually any differences in rate between the NC30 and NC35 linkages? If there is which is best (for track use), its worth mentioning that the tie-arms have also been shortened on this bike, i don't know if that makes any difference.

Sounds about right, 35`s should have bearings in all three points on the trianle and a shorter dogbone to give correct geomety for the 17" wheel

So it's def a NC30/VFR triangle as I thought then, the dogbone/tiebar has been cut and welded, as the oil seals are larger on the NC30 for the tiebar/dogbones I can tell it's an NC30 tie bar too, any idea what the std length is for the NC35 tie bars/dogbones? Infact does anyone have a NC35 'triangle' and/or dogbones/tiebars they could measure, all I need are the three measurements for the hole centres on the triangle then I can model it and see what difference it makes.
I really don't want to tear the road bike apart just to measure the suspension. :/
The NC30 one is 71/89.5/72mm fwiw.

Triange dimensions are the same on both models, I can get you the center measurments for the NC35 dogbone tomorrow?

I got one last week for my NC30 off ebay for £9.99, I`ve been after one for a while, good luck with your Search, I`ll post the dimensions tomorrow.

NC35 Dogbone linkage centers are 108mm

the rvf link is 5mm shorter than the vfr link.
On a VFR, using the rvf link adds 15mm of ride height.
I cannot see any advantage to using a VFR link on a RVF.
