Ok before we go any further mike is it definatly an ignitech? I spent weeks trying to connect to what i was told was a ignitech but it turned out to be something else.
Is your device properties pages showing that you have the virtual ports created by the serial to usb dongle?

Well, got them (x2) from Rick Oliver (I think) and was also told they're Ignitech. I still can't see what's on the bike, but it's looking closer. When the bike is off, I see all the parameters of the tabs in the software you sent. When the bike is on, only the test page shows and the "Read", "Verify" and "Program" buttons are grey'd out. When the bike is off, the rest of the tabs come back and those buttons are active. Is this the same with you?
I have to get some sleep now. Been struggling with this all day. I will send screen-shots tomorrow.

TBH its been a while since i hooked it up but i will have a go later and post how mine behaves. If you got the units from rick then they will be ignitech

Rick an Tony save the day!!!! Thank you.
I received an e-mail from Rick. He said to use the TCIP-4 software as well. So, fiorst problem is I was trying to use much older software (Honda-tci).
Rick then said there is a V75 and V80 but he wasn't sure which we had. So, I tried the V80 first and here's what I got.

It says right at the bottom that I have the V75 and the V80 doesn't work. So, I opend the V75 and......
Whallah!!!!!!

So, I have a V75 box. I guess that means I can only program using the V75 software, unless anyone knows how I can upgrade to the latest software in the ECU.
Just for kicks, here's a screenshot of the 3D ignition mapping that I will be able to do as soon as I finish wiring the TPS in. Hopefully that will be done this weekend.

Now, I just have to get to the dyno and start playing with it and see if the maps work and what to do different. As I said in the beginning of this post the HRC map loaded in the box doesn't work like our HRC ECU, so I still wonder what's going on there.
Thanks for all your help everyone, I am now on the way to trying to actually use the Ignitech to tune with now that I have ben correctly guided through the software compatability madness. That is a nightmare that should not be that difficult.
