Ignitech CDI Info

Post by DrunkenMistake »

Sorry if this has been brought up before if it has could you direct me to the thread cheers,

I have just got my Ignitech CDI today from Jap4performance, pretty happy it arrived after 5 days from the UK to NZ, what I wanted to confirm is, does this over ride the 180 limiter, and how do you go about programming it? and does anyone have any preprogrammed files I could just load straight to it, cheers.

as i said via PM, ditch the HRC map, your bike isnt setup for that,

Stock 2 will be more than enough for when you change the exhaust and jets,

The old serial power commanders were very hit and miss when trying to hook them up to a usb connection but the ignitech's work very well using a convertor.

I went for the HRC +2 map, changed the limiter, tweaked the revcounter to be more accurate and found it to go very well :grin: Bike has race can, K&Nm jetting to suit and +2 on the rear sprocket.

Ignitech = great toy
attention 2 detail - bike valeting and more
