Re: Bike Insurance
Who are you with now? I'm 21 and pay 450 at the moment with MCE. I'm due a renewal soon and have tried online quotes and nothing can touch this. Some asking for over £1400

Re: Bike Insurance
was this for classic insurance?
Might be worth giving them a ring and seeing what they say

Re: Bike Insurance
thanks SMEV, that explains alot :D
my dads got a car but also a scooter (Vespa 125) he uses to get to and from work easier/parking etc,
he's insured on it, if i get my self an insurance that says "Insured:Ride other bikes" does that mean i can ride his scoote rif im off road for a day or 2, and did you say third party ? does that mean, if it got stolen it wouldn't be insured, only if i had an accident on it then id be insured, would the claim come out of my NCB or my dads ? thanks
also
heup HADIES, im currently (for the next 2 weeks) with MCE/Aviva also, and this is my first year on the VFR400. therefore when i got my insurance i was 20 and was roughly around £550
now im 21, im getting quaoted around £400-500 mark which is good, but like has been said £400 excess. BOO!!!
i was thinking about going with DEVITT, got a good quote around £399 whivh was the same if i paid debit over 6 months etc which is good ;D
but on one of them GOCOMPARE sites i think it was bike insurer DEVITT was listed as more £450 :S how come ?
also what are the rules with PILLION ? (i know some say an NC30 shouldnt be used for a pillion) but its only Method of transport for me and my g/f BUSES SUCK etc.
do i have ot include pillion ?
think i will look into DEVITT :D
thanks to you all, i think its a very good thing to DISCUSS insurance as we can all save £££s

Re: Bike Insurance
I see that too, its only for quick quotes. If you do a full quote its different.CMSMJ1 wrote:I looked at the quick quote and it stated no greys or non standard bikes..

£50 excess!!
not too bad, wil drop to £120 when the 7r is another year older...
