I hope it's normal as I have to blip the throttle too!
I took an IQ test and the results were negative.

If it does not, and you can let the clutch in [lever] part way without it engaging, then the basket is not the problem.

Dave.
Which means I don't even have to check the basket (I'll check it anyway) cos it does that from time to time. It's like the bike wants to inch forward with the cluth disengaged, damn, looks like I have my work cut out for me. I guess the next step is to get a clutch rebuild kit? Or is there another route to pursue?

Check cable free play first.
You may be able to file any grooves out if not too deep, have a look before buying another basket.
Fit a new cover gasket and main shaft lock nut, a peg [catle nut] spanner is needed.

Dave.

I've never had an issue finding neutral on my NC24....
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Totally different gearbox and clutch.

The NC30 has a stupidly long first gear  I do like 1st gear..

Perhaps there all worn inside? 24 gearbox should fit if you want more evenly spaced gears
