NC30 - Hole in Cylinder 4?

Post by porndoguk »

ive just clocked that there is a small 6mm ish hole in cylinder 4 just bellow the engine mount bolts.

is this right?

or should there be a screw or something in there. ive just had a look in a hurry as i discovered it momenets before i had to go out at 6.30pm so not investigated if there are any threads etc in there.

Seems to be long tunnel in the head, made during casting/manufacture.

There is no bolt missing..that lower bolt is used by RVFs and not VFRs.

ref that hole..hmm..looks familiar. is it not the spark plug draining hole?

that bracket and hole is where my m10 threaded rod passes through for my crash bungs.

and that said bracket has been fabricated buy the previous owner where the m6 exhaust stud snapped a cracking invention, which will come off one i get a new exhaust and drill and re tap a m6 hole on the near future.

come to think about it when i got the torch in there to see what was lurking i could see some stamped writing so could well be the spark drain hole didnt know they had them but would make sence with them being so deep.

I put the air line to it, it is a plug drain hole.
