NC30 nit starting arrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhh

Post by spooner » Sun Jan 30, 2011 12:29 pm

Hello, My NC30 has been sat up over winter and as i brought me a GSXR600 i decided to sell up
went out to the bike last weekend and it wouldnt start so after a little bit of playing she fired into life  so i left it in the garage and this morning i had someone come and view it. went out to it and it wouldnt start again (I did leave the fuel tap on during the week, dont know if this had anything to do with it) it fired a couple of times and wouldnt run with or without choke revs or no revs. any help would be most welcome as he wants to come and view the bike again when i have it running. I think i may have cooked the plugs but before gettin new one and rippin my knuckles apart just wondered if u guys had any ideas.

Spray a bit of carb cleaner into the airbox (under the headstock will do) and see if that helps it catch.

When it does catch, then let it get properly hot. take it for a ride if you can.

Probably plugs...but you might be able to whip the rear ones out, clean them and dry them...then see how you go

Both my 400/4 and my Triarm sulk if not started for ages... the fuel runs back thro the carbs, I usually find a quick whiff of easystart starts it straight up... ;)

Sounds like you are flooding it. have you tried an aerosol to get it going??

How long was it sat without running, might need to put the effort in and sort the carbs. otherwise, Geoff will come and get it and take it to bits ;)
