Ignitech CDI question

Post by Drunkn Munky »

With a standard cdi you need to connect the orange/blue rev limit wire to 12+ to stop it going into limp home mode, is this the case with the ignitech cdi's?

Yes mate, been playing with it today, my laptop doesnt have the 9 pin port so having to use a usb adaptor and it crashes when i try to connect. Im putting it down to my laptop tho as it crashes all the time. Its got the HRC map on it so that'll do for the meantime

Nice one. Seem to remember having to faff about a little with the USB lead drivers on mine too.

I settled for the 'HRC+2' map in the end and made the tacho reading more accurate and lowered the redline a smidge too.

Great toys

I just got my race bike running today with RLR ramair RVF carbs and Ignitech CDI.
Failed to communicate.
I don't think the driver is on the supplied disk??
Must contact RO.
Nearly ready for a dyno run.

Go on the ignitech site, you can download it from there. Once installed check your hardware properties to see what port its communicating on then set the software to that com port. Worked for me, mines up and running now
