Here's my attempt to mod a k&n filter from an astra gsi.
It's not as 'snug' as I would like, but that's down to me not measuring the housing properly.

All of this effort to save a few pennies doesn't seem worth it to me... :poke:

The astra filter is big enough for 2 filters, and cost me £11. At £5.50 per filter, thats a bit of a bargain if you ask me.

Each to there own though 8-)

good effort i say, but my only concern would be as the the lose of to sides where the rubber isnt, your going to by pass the filter if you dont have a good seal,

think of the needle in the straw effect it will pull air from where the least resistance is.

silicon is the solution ;)

That's exactly why I won't be using this filter my friend, I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my bike, and with a 7mm gap I'd have to seal that with some form of sealant which doesn't float my boat.

Mainly, this was an experiment. 8-)

Do you reckon that would fit on an NC24, or are they completely different sizes?
