Temporary gasket made out of a weetabix box with a thin smear of blue instant gasket should hold it tight till I get a proper one,

The dark phase of the stator doesn't look too bad, they often go darker with the heat, but it looks like its actually melted? Thats bad :)

It must have melted as there is little blobs of gunge stuck on the inside of the flywheel. When i looked at it first i thought the flywheel was damaged but it just rubbed off when i wiped it so its all ok, thank feck. I'll take some more pics when the new one arrives,Neosophist wrote:The dark phase of the stator doesn't look too bad, they often go darker with the heat, but it looks like its actually melted? Re: nc24 stators, Which one?
You only need to measure the ID of the stator I think to find the difference.
4 x 8mm head bolts out and it lifts out (you need to undo the tag too, 1x philips #1) and measure the ID with a caliper etc

Neo, Electricx World say only two types fit , G17 = 92 mm outside diameter & G72 = 102 mm outside diameter. I have measured my one at 102 mm so looks like its the G72..I have ordered one now so if its wrong they will swap it for the other..I did ask!
