Any hall effect sensor can be used, looks like durbahn also made a custom mount for the sensor but hard to tell in the pic.
Camshaft is not balanced by default - so, welding small piece of metal do not disbalanced it, so we shouldn't get any camshaft vibration due to this theeth. But before I was thinking to use such sensor from CBR600

And fix it on the top of the cover and one the side of the engine head - something like this.

Of course, I need to check posibility to make mount and Durbahn also remove quiet gear what I don't like to do. So, maybe in case of CBR400 better to fit sensor on the end of camshaft - looks like we have plenty room for this.

Today spent half day fitted throttle bodies. It is not absolutelly bolt-on, because CB400 Throttle bosies shorter than CBR400 carbs ( to be opened GSR400 throttle bodies can be successfully use, so do not bother buying only CB400 Revo because it very rare for now ). As I planning before carb rubbers allow to shift +/- 2mm. So, enjoy the pictures... now it's only partly fitted.

I have got the list of action need to be done to fit TB properly.

a. Because I have to extend pairs of injections up to 15mm. I also need to increase lenght of the stem that join pairs of TB. Also need to 15mm adapter to join pairs of TB.

b. Idle Air Control (IAC) is most significant problem for now, because IAC (4 wire stepper motor) doesn't not support by Microsquirt. So, I have couple of options
- not care about idle air control for now, and after all system will be run - start to tune it and fix in one position suitable for good idle control
- replace it with 2-wire valve, but not sure about this for now.
- buy stepper motor drive and try to make all this running ( convert PWM modulation to signal for spepper motor)

с. Change little bit angle of throttle cable guide.
d. Idle air tube need to be increased (maybe)
e. Middle fuel pipe also need to be increased.
Image
f. Need to find plugs for (all prugs except jets is same - 3 wire connectors)
- TPS
- injector jets.
- IAC Stepeer motor
- MAP
ImageImage
g. Air box also need to redesigned - at least this part that join to TB.
h. TB need to be file down for better airflow. I not planing do this now, but this better to do sometime ago.

Hi Parus,

great work!

I think maybe (perhaps!) you need product 192148 here:
http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/V ... usings.php

They look identical to the plug used on my Triumph's injector system. The little metal clip holds them tight despite vibrations, and there is a small rubber gasket inside to keep water and corrosion at bay.

I do not know if it is relevant... but on Triumphs with this style of throttle bodies there is also an IACV, but on race bikes it is not uncommon to disconnect it and throw it away (it's kinda heavy) and simply make up a very simple bracket like a throttle stop on carbs. The benefit of an IACV is it meters exact amounts of air, so you can set the tickover very precisely, and you should get a nice level tickover. However, it is not essential.

Maybe you can buy a used injector loom from another honda? Then you have your 4 plugs (I imagine they are always the same?) and it's all nicely put together for you. Just a thought, eg this one, and at that price it has to be worth a try?

Thank you for information mate.

I found that ZX-6R 07 having same plug for additional jets inside airbox. So, planning take plugs from Zx-6r. Also I will take cbr600rr 07-08 harness - the conectors should be same for TPS, Idle Air Control, Fuel pump. And in future I'll try to use parts from CBR only.

1. Fitted almost all electical part - microsquirt, michron and etc... don't be scared !!!
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgEY2j6NwZ8 Sorry for my english. Feel free to ask me if something is unclear.

2. Finished fitting throttle bodies and airbox - will make video this weekend.

3. Working for Idle Air Stepper Motor controler - as far as Microsquirt haven't posibility to control stepper motor (removed to save some space) we're going to use PWM (pulse width modulation) to control stepper motor. For now controler is not ready and will be tested AFTER I will run the engine. To make life easy we can use air valve for Idle Air control - but it just work like on\off and unable dose required amount of air.

4. Replaced stock one wire temp sensor (inside of thermostat housing) with another one (5mm) from MyChron.

5. Here is update wiring diagramm (in TIFF): http://www.moto.kiev.ua/users/parus/CBR ... g_loom.tif

One of benefits using Microsquirt - is possibility to use another HT coils with different dwell setting to get 'hotter' spark. Not COP (coil-on-cop) like newer CBR600 or other mode -I mean with Microsquirt controls only, with additional tools or MegaSquirt-II ever COP can be possible.

I also looking any information about CBR400 coil - like inductance, dwell, resistance, coils label\marking\etc.... So, will be appreciate you add anything.

Also need information about Idle\Full Advance for HRC ECU module.
